Online CFD

Most CFD brokers offer an online trading platform. With the prevalence of  high speed internet connection, this is the easiest and most convenient way for traders. Traders can place trades or check their portfolio anywhere in the world as long as there is online connection.
Most online CFD brokers usually offer phone support or phone trading. Some offer mobile trading through the smart phones, giving new meaning to the phrase "mobile trading". However, this is not an industry standard so it's dependent on the specific online CFD broker.

Advantages of Online CFD trading

Lower Fees - The brokerage fees charged for CFD deals are usually lower compared to the commission charged for trading shares through a conventional broker. That being said, traders should be aware of the spread which can change depending on the type of CFD Broker. With CFD trading there is also the financing cost.

Enjoy dividend  - CFD brokers usually pay an amount equal to the dividend when the underlying share goes ex-div, and the trader is holding on to a long position. The reverse applies i.e. when the trader is in a short position, the dividend amount will be debited.

Place trades at any time - Some retail traders hold a full time job and are unable to place trades until after market hours. With online CFD brokers, they can place their trades at any time. They are also able to place Limit Orders at their desired strike level. With conventional stock broker, this may not be possible as if the strike price is too many bids away from the market price.
